CloudBees 2015 Revenues Increase +150 Percent Year-Over-Year, Accelerated by Demand for Jenkins-Based Continuous Delivery Automation

EMEA Operations Expand, Employment Grows 131 Percent and Company Recognized with Industry Awards

SAN JOSE, CA. – February 23, 2016 – CloudBees, Inc. , the enterprise Jenkins company and continuous delivery (CD) leader, today announced the best financial results in its six-year history, posting significant growth across all operations as it served the increasing market demand for CD adoption and DevOps transformations. Revenues related to CloudBees Jenkins Platform subscriptions accelerated rapidly in 2015, growing by +150 percent over the previous year's revenue. Additionally, across the company employment grew by an additional 131 percent.

CloudBees’ record performance was driven by the growing adoption of CD automation by software delivery teams. CD practices support the automation of software delivery from code through to production. Enterprises are realizing the business value that CD provides business value in the form of faster time to market, business agility in response to customer demands or competitive threats and reduced costs.

With the acceleration in CD adoption, more and more companies are using Jenkins to support software delivery automation. Jenkins is becoming the de facto continuous integration and continuous delivery tool. Using Jenkins, global brands in financial services, automotive, media/entertainment, hospitality, technology and other sectors have successfully transformed their businesses to CD. As of January 31, 2016, there were 128,525 active installations of Jenkins worldwide, with 8,590,799 Jenkins jobs defined and tens of millions of jobs run throughout the month of January. A job is a continuous delivery process, orchestrated by Jenkins.

These two trends - adoption of CD and growth in the use of Jenkins to support CD - are accelerating the uptake of the CloudBees Jenkins Platform as organizations demand enterprise-class scalability, security, high availability, manageability and commercial support for Jenkins. The CloudBees Jenkins Platform provides additional functionality for Jenkins, enabling enterprise organizations to optimize CD practices and transform IT teams to a DevOps culture.

“Software is eating the world, thus driving - actually, mandating - IT transformation. The old ways of delivering software don’t work in our software-driven world,” said Sacha Labourey, CEO and founder of CloudBees. “CloudBees is leading this transformation for enterprises that adopt Jenkins as the foundation for CD. The ongoing innovation delivered to market by CloudBees enables companies to successfully adopt continuous delivery practices, be more nimble and return value to their businesses.”

Throughout 2015, CloudBees’ made significant investments in its EMEA operations. The Company appointed Steven Harris as EMEA sales director, expanded the UK-based sales team and added sales and marketing staff in Germany and in France.

CloudBees continues to win industry recognition. In 2015, it was recognized by DevOps.com as one of the DevOps Dozen and was also named to the SD Times 100 . Already in 2016, CloudBees has won a TechTarget Impact Award and been placed on the CRN Top 20 Coolest Cloud Platform and Development Vendors list.
