CloudBees Jenkins X Distribution June Release: Bitbucket Server Support and More

It’s release time again for the CloudBees Jenkins X Distribution

Last month, we announced that Lighthouse had officially replaced prow as the default SCM handler inside CloudBees Jenkins X Distribution, which enabled us to formally launch Gitlab support in preview.

This month, we’re extending that and announcing that Bitbucket Server is now supported in preview as well. You can learn more in the docs here.

In addition to Bitbucket Server support, we’ve also made some great updates to the experimental Jenkins X UI. You can now create new projects - either via quickstart or by importing an existing repo - directly via the UI. This is a great step forward, but it’s just the first in what will be a long series of UI improvements in the coming months.

And, finally, we’re excited to announce that you can now bring your own Vault to play with CloudBees Jenkins X Distribution. Previously, you had to let Jenkins X install a new Vault instance for you - but we’ve decoupled this behavior, so that now if you have an existing Vault in place you can connect it to your Jenkins X install.
