Can I attend from anywhere?
The HiveTechFest India hackathon is restricted to Indian residents only. We welcome entries from any state in India. We do not accept registrations from outside of India.
Is the submission of entries to the hackathon free of charge?
Yes! There is no fee to participate in HiveTechFest India.
Where is HiveTechFest taking place? Is it in person or virtual?
The hackathon itself is fully virtual and spans over three weeks.
Who can submit entries?
Anyone with a passion for building tools in CI/CD is welcome to submit entries to our hackathon! We do not restrict participation based on age, educational background, or professional title. Whether you're a seasoned professional, a student, or a hobbyist, if you have skills and enthusiasm for continuous integration and continuous deployment, we want you here!
What experience is required?
No specific experience is required to participate in our hackathon. While having some familiarity with CI/CD concepts and tools can be beneficial, we encourage participants of all skill levels to join. Whether you're a beginner looking to learn and collaborate, or an expert ready to showcase your skills, there's a place for you in our event. Our goal is to foster a collaborative and inclusive environment where everyone can contribute, learn, and innovate.
What is the team size limit?
A team is up to a maximum of 3 individuals. Your entries to HiveTechFest India can be as a member of a team or as an individual.
How many projects can I enter into the HiveTechFest India hackathon?
As many as you’d like to enter, however, projects will be graded independently.
Are you sending out acceptances? Is there a deadline to apply?
We will send out acceptances on July 8. The registration closes on July 7, 2024.
When can we start working on our project?
We expect you to be fair in competition and start the work from July 8, 2024.

Terms and conditions
- HiveTechFest India is an initiative by CloudBees (hereafter referred to as ‘Organizer’) to provide a platform to foster innovation in DevSecOps and CI/CD domains.
- Registering for the hackathon is entirely free of charge and is open to citizens of India. Registration must be done by submitting a registration form from this site.
- The participants need to ensure that the personal information provided upon registration online is true and accurate and must unconditionally accept any and all decisions made by Hackathon organizers with regard to event organization.
- If information provided during online registration is found to be incomplete and/or inaccurate, the participant may be disqualified from the competition.
- Teams may not be changed once the competition has begun.
- Participants shall not try to influence the Organizers or Judging panel.
- Participants must register and attend the Hackathon during their personal, non-work hours
- By participating in the Hackathon, Participants agree that their current employer has no rights or claims over the Submissions. It is the responsibility of each Participant to ensure compliance with their own employment agreements or employer policies.
- Participants represent and warrant that their Submissions do not infringe upon any third-party rights and that they have all necessary permissions to use any third-party materials included in their Submissions.
- Participants must release their Submissions under one of the following open source licenses such as, Apache License 2.0, MIT License, Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International (CC BY 4.0)
- The idea and work produced by the Participants, is free to be used as it is or with modification for anyone for commercial or open source.
