Jenkins X is the latest innovation from the Jenkins community, providing continuous integration and continuous delivery for modern cloud applications based on Kubernetes
SEATTLE, WA. – KUBECON | CLOUDNATIVECON 2018 – December 10, 2018 – CloudBees , the enterprise DevOps leader powering the continuous economy, announced today that Carlos Sanchez, principal software engineer at CloudBees, will speak at KubeCon | CloudNativeCon on December 12 at the Washington State Convention Center in Seattle. KubeCon | CloudNativeCon is the flagship conference organized by the Cloud Native Computing Foundation , bringing together adopters and technologists from leading open source and cloud native communities in Seattle, WA from December 10-13, 2018.
Carlos’s presentation, Jenkins X: Continuous Delivery for Kubernetes, will provide expert insight for attendees into Jenkins X, a project being led by CloudBees with ongoing community support.
In his session, Carlos will take a closer look at Jenkins X - a new, open source continuous integration (CI) and continuous delivery (CD) platform for delivering cloud native applications. Jenkins X builds on the success of Jenkins and is architected to provide an easy path to delivery of cloud native applications while fully utilizing the functionality provided by Kubernetes. Within the session, Carlos will discuss how Jenkins X runs on Kubernetes and transparently uses on-demand containers to execute build agents, jobs and to also isolate job execution. Attendees will gain a deeper understanding of how Jenkins X enables CI/CD as code using Jenkins Pipeline. They will also learn how Jenkins X automates deployments of commits and pull requests using Skaffold, Helm and other popular open source tools within the Kubernetes ecosystem. During the session, Carlos will demo how attendees can use Jenkins X on any Kubernetes cluster for fully automated CI and CD using a GitOps approach.
Carlos’s session, Jenkins X: Continuous Delivery for Kubernetes , will take place in Tahoma 3/4 at The Conference Center (TCC) on Wednesday, December 12, 3:40pm - 4:15pm PST.
