CloudBees Jenkins Enterprise provides customers with a DevOps solution with elasticity and seamless platform mobility
JENKINS WORLD, SAN FRANCISCO – AUGUST 30, 2017 — CloudBees, Inc. , the hub of enterprise Jenkins and DevOps, today announced that CloudBees Jenkins Enterprise is available to customers of VMware Cloud™ on AWS. VMware Cloud on AWS brings together VMware’s enterprise-class Software-Defined Data Center (SDDC) software and dedicated, elastic, bare-metal infrastructure from Amazon Web Services (AWS) to give organizations consistent operating model and application mobility for private and public cloud.
CloudBees Jenkins Enterprise provides key enterprise-class features in addition to those available from Jenkins, and it comes pre-configured to work out of the box for VMware Cloud on AWS. VMware users can now readily scale their CloudBees deployments by shifting Jenkins-based continuous delivery workloads and resources to VMware Cloud on AWS. At initial launch of VMware Cloud on AWS, CloudBees Jenkins Enterprise is a turnkey continuous delivery solution for customers developing and deploying applications to the VMware Cloud on AWS.
“We are pleased to be working with VMware to bring our enterprise continuous delivery solutions to these platforms,” said Michel Goossens, chief strategy officer, CloudBees. “With CloudBees Jenkins Enterprise, customers can run in multiple runtime environments – which now includes VMware Cloud on AWS.”
VMware Cloud on AWS technology partners enable customers to deploy the same proven solutions seamlessly in both the public and private cloud. VMware simplifies the deployment and eliminates the need for partners to refactor solutions for VMware Cloud on AWS. If a partner solution works on-premise in a VMware vSphere® environment, it will easily support VMware Cloud on AWS. VMware technology partners complement and enhance VMware Cloud on AWS service and enable customers to realize new capabilities.
“VMware Cloud on AWS provides customers a seamlessly integrated hybrid cloud offering that gives customers the SDDC experience from the leader in private cloud, running on the leading public cloud provider, AWS,” said Mark Lohmeyer, vice president, products, Cloud Platforms Business Unit, VMware. “ Solutions such as CloudBees Jenkins Enterprise enable IT teams to reduce cost, increase efficiency and create operational consistency across cloud environments. We’re excited to work with partners such as CloudBees to enhance native VMware Cloud on AWS capabilities and empower customers with flexibility and choice in solutions that drive business value.”
