CloudBees Platform as a Service Now Available on HP Cloud Services

Java Applications Can Now Be Deployed Directly to the OpenStack™-based HP Cloud Services

WOBURN, MA. and PARIS, FRANCE – May 10, 2012 – CloudBees, Inc. , the Java Platform as a Service (PaaS) innovation leader, announced today the CloudBees PaaS is available on HP Cloud Services. CloudBees provides users the flexibility to deploy and manage applications across a variety of data center environments. HP Cloud Services is the newest addition to the list of CloudBees AnyCloud deployment options.

Now, organizations that use the CloudBees PaaS and want to deploy on HP Cloud Services can do so while still realizing a consistent experience and unified view across all applications and cloud deployments. CloudBees delivers a full-service PaaS, managing the entire environment, no matter where applications are deployed.

Agile development shops can make use of the CloudBees-hosted Jenkins continuous integration service to drive continuous delivery and staging to HP’s public cloud. In addition to enjoying complete end-to-end application development services – from build and test, to deploy and manage, joint customers can also utilize the integrated services and verified solutions available from the CloudBees Partner Ecosystem .

“HP Cloud Services is a valued addition to the CloudBees set of AnyCloud deployment options. Customers who depend on HP’s business grade cloud infrastructure can now accelerate their ability to deliver applications using the full power of the CloudBees PaaS,” said Sacha Labourey, CEO, CloudBees. “HP provides tremendous operational and technology leadership with their cloud infrastructure offering. Now customers can enjoy the productivity and cost savings of the CloudBees PaaS and deliver Java applications faster and with better quality utilizing HP Cloud Services.”

CloudBees AnyCloud offers a very different approach for deployment, managing the PaaS software stack remotely across environments. This approach eliminates the burden faced by data center operators in installing, updating and maintaining a complex stack of middleware. AnyCloud is about flexibility and choice for application deployment. In addition to the HP Cloud Services offering, additional AnyCloud deployment options include Amazon Web Services (AWS), third party hosters such as OVH, and on-premise, enterprise data centers.

“If you are not consuming a service, you are not really simplifying your operations and reducing costs and, therefore, not taking advantage of the full benefit offered by the cloud. Our partnership with HP addresses just that – giving PaaS users the freedom of deployment choice, including on-premise, while still benefiting from a true service offering,” added Labourey.
