SAN FRANCISCO, Calif. – Feb 4, 2025. -- After 15 years at CloudBees, one of the world’s leading software development platforms, and with a growth vision in place and a strengthened business model, the company’s co-founder Sacha Labourey has determined that now is the right time to depart from his role as Chief Strategy Officer, allowing him to shift his energy to new endeavours. He will continue to provide guidance and leadership as an active Advisor and member of CloudBees’ Board of Directors.
“Sacha has been an invaluable partner to me over the past two and a half years, and a critical voice in reimagining the next stage of growth at CloudBees. As importantly, he has been a transformative figure in the DevOps and software development industry, championing innovation and driving the evolution of how software is built, deployed, and delivered”, said Chief Executive Officer Anuj Kapur. “On behalf of the management team and our board of directors, I have deep appreciation for Sacha’s contribution through the years, first as CEO and then as Chief Strategy Officer. I am pleased Sacha will remain a member of our board and as he shifts his focus to new endeavours, we wish him all the very best.”
"From the very beginning, I knew Sacha was building something special. His vision, passion, and relentless drive helped shape not just CloudBees but the DevOps industry as a whole,” said David Skok, General Partner for Matrix Partners and CloudBees Board Member. “Thanks to his leadership, CloudBees is in a strong position today, and its performance in FY25 is a testament to the foundation he built. While we’ll miss his presence, we’re excited to see what he does next and wish him all the best in this next chapter."
As the co-founder of CloudBees, Sacha helped pioneer enterprise Jenkins, solidifying its position as a cornerstone of continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD). His vision and leadership have advanced DevOps practices, enabling organizations worldwide to achieve greater agility, scalability, and reliability in their software delivery pipelines. His contributions continue to inspire the industry, pushing boundaries and setting new standards in the AI-augmented future of DevOps.
“After 15 incredible years at CloudBees, I look forward to focusing on the next chapter. I’m confident and excited about the company’s direction, and I am proud of our FY25 momentum. With CloudBees in such a strong position, this feels like the right moment to step away and hand over to the next wave of leadership,” said co-founder, Sacha Labourey.
