When François Déchery and I started thinking of what ultimately became CloudBees—15 years ago, we had a simple but ambitious goal: to change the way software is built and delivered. We had this conviction that we could empower a generation of developers to have a much bigger impact through code. Along the way, CloudBees was always more than just a company—it was a movement, a team of brilliant, passionate people who helped shape DevOps.
Together, we delivered the first end-to-end platform as a service (PaaS) in 2010, started talking about “DevOps” when it was barely used outside of expert circles, pioneered enterprise Jenkins, navigated major industry shifts, and built a platform that helps the world’s largest organizations safely and securely deliver software at scale. The impact of CloudBees isn’t just in the code or the technology—it’s in the countless teams we’ve empowered and the amazing Bees who made it all happen.
CloudBees is now entering its next phase of growth, and I know the future is bright. Anuj and the leadership team have a clear vision, one that embraces the ever-evolving DevOps landscape and positions CloudBees at the forefront of innovation. From SaaS to AI, from continuous integration to enterprise-wide orchestration, CloudBees is poised to lead the industry forward.
For me, this is also a time of transition. After 15 years, I’ve decided to take a step back from my day-to-day role to explore new horizons. But this isn’t goodbye—CloudBees will always be part of my journey: I’ll stay involved as a board member and advisor, cheering from the sidelines as the team takes CloudBees to new heights!
